UGT and 7Eleven is Moving Forward with Interactive TV



United Global Technologies has set an initial 5-year partnership with 7Eleven Malaysia to move ahead with times, by unveiling the new multi-content media that displays simultaneous video, text and flash animation - "UGT Interactive TV", a new media channel that will replace static and traditional print.

The new multi-content media that displays simultaneous video feeds on Samsung LCDs, is set to roll out across the 903 7Eleven outlets nationwide by year end. It is expected to complement traditional media by taking the marketer's message into stores not only for increased reach but also, the exposure of marketer's brand name.

An estimated cost of RM10 million is expected to be spent on the setting up of the interactive TV system. Mr. Francis HL Wong, Managing Director of United Global Technologies Sdn Bhd, expressed confidence that UGT Interactive TV, is an innovative and a cost effective tool to offer to potential advertisers.

Package of UGT Interactive TV can be categorised by a 15 seconds of video motion advertisement that cost RM8000 monthly, a 10 seconds of flash animation that cost RM4500 and a 5 seconds of still picture that cost RM2300.
