Bio Big Valley Lojing - A Model Green City

Bio Big Valley Lojing a mega green project development in Gua Musang, Kelantan, will be undertaken jointly by a local consortium comprising 3 companies - Mofaz Group, Telemont and Solarin.
This massive RM 10 billion development will synergise the mission of East Coast Economic Region (ECER), by creating 150,000 job opportunities when completed in 2013. Ongoing activities in Lojing, are reforestation for sustainable forest development, large scale intergrated organic farming, husbandry of Dorper sheep, planting of fruits and herbs.
Bio Big Valley Lojing development is the first in this region to use "Carbonless and Total Renewable Energy Concept" as Mofaz Group President, Mr. Mohamed Fauzy, said that, wind turbines to generate electricity for every household within the development radius will be placed at strategic locations. He also added that, this is completely a private sector project, and it has definitely put Kelantan on the world map as a "Green City" with green technology of Malaysia.
Mr. Fauzy said about RM 2 billion will be funded by United Nation SAVE Human Development Fund for first 2 years and for 2nd phase, the consortium will concentrate in agro and eco tourism, biotechnology industries and setting up R & D laboratories.
