Volkswagen Eos is Targeting Niche Market




Volkswagen Group Malaysia Sdn. Bhd has launched the Volkswagen Eos, claimed as the world's first automobile to have a coupe, sunroof and cabriolet (CSC) roof system. The two-door Volkswagen Eos which was launched globally 2 years ago, has a 5-piece CSC roof system that can be retracted automatically 25 seconds. The four seater Eos is equipped with a 4-cylinder 2-litre 147kW (200 PS) turbo charged engine, a 6-speed Direct Shift Gearbox and 4 "Le Mans" alloy wheels that comes with 7.5J x 17 tyres.

Safety systems of Eos, include airbags, active roll-over protection, ABS, brake assist, ESP (electronic stabilisation programme), EDL (electronic differential lock), electronic vehicle immobilisation device, "Climatronic" air condition system with 2-zone temperature control and all-round disc brakes.

Enhanced Nissan Latio Tuned by Impul



Edaran Tan Chong Motor has unveiled the Impul enhanced Latio at its PJ showroom recently. The enhanced Latio is aimed at those who want a vibrant and distinctive look as well as for those who seek enjoyment in driving.

Edaran Tan Chong Motor Sdn. Bhd, Executive Director, Datuk Ang Bon Beng, said, since Latio was introduced in Malaysia last June, 3400 units have been sold with 86% of sales comprising 1.6 litre variant. Dato' Ang also pointed out, that Latio commanded a 44% market share in non-national 1.6-litre passenger car segment for January and February this year.

Ministry Tourism of Malaysia officiates the launch of Cocoa Boutique



The new Minister Tourism of Malaysia, Yang Berhormat Dato' Sri Azalina Othman Said has officiated the opening of Cocoa Boutique at Malaysia Tourism Centre, Kuala Lumpur recently.
Claimed as the largest chocolate paradise in the nation, Dato' Azalina said these products are in line with government's vision by giving foreign as well as local visitors something unique, to provide a good reason for visitors to patronise this new Cocoa Boutique. Nokia N82 Wireless Adventure II- Discover, Capture and Share the Soul of the Night





The sequel to last year's Nokia N82 Wireless Adventure, this year's race challenges 8 teams to take to the streets of Kuala Lumpur at night with Nokia N82 multimedia computer.
Managing Director of Nokia Malaysia, Mr Andrew Cheong, who flagged off the race from One Utama, Bandar Utama, expressed, the Discover Soul of the Night campaign is another initiative from Nokia to connect individuals and communities around Klang Valley, to share interests and passions. Mr. Andrew believed this campaign has created a platform where everyone can share insights to the 'soul' of their city and discover, capture and share their experiences through mobile devices.

Goodyear Assurance Tire is as Good as a Bulletproof Vest



Goodyear Marketing & Sales Sdn. Bhd has launched its latest Goodyear Assurance tire at Prince Hotel, Kuala Lumpur recently. Goodyear Assurance is innovatively designed to cater for safety- conscious drivers who own mid-size passenger cars seeking tires that offer utmost safety and grip, in either wet or dry road conditions.

Goodyear's new Assurance tire features Armorgrip Technology that comes with a 3-dimensional blade system, called the Waffle Blade System to provide better braking and grip on wet and dry road conditions while maintaining lateral block rigidity.This Waffle Blade System maintains the tread block rigidity by enhancing lateral interlocking performance to shorten the braking distance.

Volkswagen Unveils The New Powerful Polo GTI



Volkswagen Group Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. has launched its 1.8litre five-door Polo GTI at Volkswagen Showroom, Wisma UOA Bangsar recently. The new Polo GTI is equipped with 16-inch "Denver" alloy wheels and a superb five-speed manual transmission tuborcharged engine that ouputs 150bhp@5800rpm and 220Nm@1950-4500rpm. It has a maximum speed of 216km/h and able to perform a magnificent 0-100km/h sprint in 8.2 seconds.
Safety features of new GTI include airbags, ABS, ASR (anti-slip regulator), EDL (electronic differential lock), ESP (electronic stabilisation programme), EDTC (engine drag torque control) and all round disc brakes.
Currently there are 13 authorised Volkswagen dealerships in the country and, VGM director of public relations and marketing communication, Karen Cheng-Yoong, said that, Volkswagen plans to set up more authorised Volkswagen dealerships in nationwide including Sabah and Sarawak.
The new GTI has a 4-Star rating in the Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) based on 2002 model and it is produced at the Volkswagen Navarra plant in Spain.
It is retailed at a nett selling price of RM138,888.00.

FTEC's SmartBook for Future SmartKids



FTEC has launched its first FTEC Smart Book at FTEC's TecAsia , Plaza Low Yat recently.
The FTEC SmartBook is a portable PC netbook that caters to the needs of young children who will be entering kindegarten and primary grades and it is equipped with a water-resistant keyboard and an advanced theft control feature using a network-issued digital ID certificate.
