UGT and 7Eleven is Moving Forward with Interactive TV



United Global Technologies has set an initial 5-year partnership with 7Eleven Malaysia to move ahead with times, by unveiling the new multi-content media that displays simultaneous video, text and flash animation - "UGT Interactive TV", a new media channel that will replace static and traditional print.

The new multi-content media that displays simultaneous video feeds on Samsung LCDs, is set to roll out across the 903 7Eleven outlets nationwide by year end. Honda to Push Beyond its Boundaries in Challenging F1 2008

Galeri Petronas Launches 'MATAHATI' Artworks For Everyone

Galeri Petronas has officially launched the exhibition of MATAHATI artworks featuring 107 pieces of art collection from five prominent Malaysian artists, namely, Ahmad Fuad Osman, Ahmad Shukri Mohamed, Bayu Utomo Radjikin, Hamir Soib @ Mohamed and Masnoor Ramli Mahmud.

Organised by Galeri Petronas and curated by June Yap, this exhibition featuring paintings, sculptures, installations and video spans 4 venues, each carrying a specific theme namely, GALERI PETRONAS (Early Years, Developments & Explorations, Humanity & Community), The Annexe Gallery (Art & Life in Contemporary Malaysia), House of MATAHATI (Self & Representation) and 12 Art Space Gallery (Taking Issue with Art). In conjunction with this exhibition, Galeri Petronas has also published a comprehensive catalogue of works on MATAHATI. The launch of exhibition and publication was officiated by Latiff Mohidin, a prominent Malaysian and South East Asian artist.

Mercedes Benz R280L Is Really A Niche Model

One would be asking, how does it feel to drive the new Mercedes Benz R280L? With its automative concept, Mercedes-Benz R-Class continues to set trends by providing its drivers an examplary touring comfort, superlative handling dynamics, a high level of adaptability, spacious accomodation, a vast luggage compartment, expressive design and hallmark of Mercedes safety.

NECK-PRO crash-responsive head is also another additional safety feature for occupants by preventing severe damage to neck and head during collision.
The newly developed multi-zone THERMOTRONIC system, which implemented 3-ZONE climate control sytem, enables R280L to have an independent air conditioned control, capables to faithfully maintain the temperatures set by the driver, the front passenger and the occupants in the rear. Altis Another Step Ahead With Style

UMW Toyota Moto Sdn. Bhd (UMWT) has launched its 10th generation Corolla, the all new Toyota Corolla Altis at Kuala Lumpur recently. Compared with the previous edition, the new Altis is 10mm longer and overall width is increased by 55mm for enhanced cabin spaciousness.

The engines in the new Altis 3ZZ-FE (1.6-litre) provides 80kW/109 ps @ 6000rpm (compared with 81kW/110 ps @6000rpm in previous Altis model) and the new 1ZZ-FE engine (1.8-litre) provides 97kW/ 132 ps @ 6000rpm (compared with 100kW/ 136ps @ 6000rpm in previous Altis model). The slight changes in power output of the engines is due to compliance of Euro-3 emission control regulations, which required the installation of two catalytic converters.

The new Altis is claimed to have a higher performance levels due to implementation of Electronic Throttle Control system with Intelligence (ETCS-i). The Altis model also has a reduced amount of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) by more than 80% compared with the previous model. Another additional edge for new Altis, is that, it is equipped with Electronic Power Steering (EPS) to enhance fuel consumption between 15% to 20%.

The (1.6l & 1.8l) Altis has passed the Global Outstanding Assessment (GOA) for crash safety standards. However, Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) with Traction Control System (TRC) features is available only in the Altis 1.8G.

Panasonic Camcorder- the World's Lightest and Smallest

Panasonic Malaysia has unveiled nine new camcorder models at Kuala Lumpur recently, and HDC-SD9 is claimed to be the world's smallest and lightest 3CCD Full HD camcorder, that records on both SD and SDHC Memory Cards, is highly resistant to external impacts as the SD Memory Cards do not require transport mechanism.
The HDC-HS9 ( with a built-in 60GB hard disk) and HDC-SD9 are equipped with Leica Dicomar lens and 3CCD professional camera system, offer Full High Definition (1920 x 1080) recording 25 frames per second. Shell-Ferrari Model Cars-Passion, Power and Exhilaration

Shell Malaysia Trading has launched a new collection of 7 exclusive limited edition Ferrari miniature cars at The Curve recently. These replicas of Ferrari real car is by a 1:38 scale, and each model has its own unique dual-sound mechanism, which is specially designed and produced by Mattel.

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) has launched a new and convenient combined Internet and telephony services by offering customers unlimited broadband access and TM Homeline through a single low-cost package with speeds range from 384 Kpbs to 4.0 Mbps ( monthly subscription fee range from RM 60 to RM 160 as per to speeds) with no monthly fixed line rental charges.

Panasonic "Nanocare" Hair Dryer Sizzles


Panasonic Malaysia has introduced a new hair dryer using 'nanocare' technology to provide treatment effects on scalp and hair strains itself. According to Associate Director, Mr. Jeff Lee, said, the main causal of unpleasant odors and unhealthy hair growth, are due to overproduction of sebum caused by hormonal or nutritional imbalances. Team Shell - New Season, New Look, New Vision

Team Shell Advance Maju Motor Racing, has declared that they are ready to take on challenges of 2008 PETRONAS Sprinta AAM Malaysian Cub Prix Championship. The Shell motor racing team has taken its initiative to launch their new four-man team at Club 18, Bangsar recently.
Team Shell, which has chalked up a grand total of 12 titles to date since 1997, is represented by 2007 Expert Champion Ahmad Fazli Sham, Ahmad Fazrul Sham, Mohd Faiz Nawawi and Abdul Muhaimin Roslan. Team principal, Mr. Yong Ying Hoe believed that the 2008 line-up will live up to the high-standards expectation from racing fans, even though, the premiere class of Petronas Sprinta AAM Cub Prix will move from 2-stroke racing to 4-stroke platform.
