Hyundai Malaysia has launched its latest 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre all new Hyundai Accent 2008 model at Kuala Lumpur recently, with an intention of targeting new generation of smart, progressive and vibrant Malaysian motorists. The new 1.6 litre model is equipped with Continuous Variable Valve Timing (CVVT), which provide its (DOHC) engine maximum horsepower of 112PS, while its 1.4 litre model is also equipped with DOHC engine can manage a maximum horsepower of 95PS. The 1.6 litre automatic transmission new Accent is tagged at RM 73,888, has a fuel efficiency of maximum 14.1 km/litre, while the 1.4 litre manual transmission model, which is priced at RM 68,888, provide a fuel efficiency of 16.1 km/litre.
As an addition to its list of accolades, the new Accent has delivered perfect score of 5 stars for both driver & passenger safety after it undergone the stringent US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) tests.
