Goodyear Assurance Tire is as Good as a Bulletproof Vest

Goodyear Marketing & Sales Sdn. Bhd has launched its latest Goodyear Assurance tire at Prince Hotel, Kuala Lumpur recently. Goodyear Assurance is innovatively designed to cater for safety- conscious drivers who own mid-size passenger cars seeking tires that offer utmost safety and grip, in either wet or dry road conditions.

Goodyear's new Assurance tire features Armorgrip Technology that comes with a 3-dimensional blade system, called the Waffle Blade System to provide better braking and grip on wet and dry road conditions while maintaining lateral block rigidity. This Waffle Blade System maintains the tread block rigidity by enhancing lateral interlocking performance to shorten the braking distance.

The Armorgrip Technology also incorporates Dupont Kevlar, a lightweight material that is 5 times stronger than steel and has been used in making bulletproof vests. The Kevlar layer is enhanced by a silica-reinforced Durawall compound in the sidewall to provide additional protection to cuts and tears.

Journalists from Thailand, India, Vietnam, the Philippines, China and Malaysia who attended the launch were given the opportunity to test out the Assurance tire at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC). At wet & dry slalom, using the Toyota Altis, the Assurance tire easily provides a better road handling, response and grip. The final high-speed test at the North Track in 2.0-litre Mazda6, sums up an undivided 'Assurance' to all the journalists.

Assurance tire is available from 70 to 50 series and from 14 to 16 inch sizes, and for peace of mind, Goodyear is offering a 'Risk Free Trial' where customers can exchange their tires if they are not satisfied.
