Sa Sa Colors & Fragrance Fair & Awards 2010 is Making Waves Among the Shoppers

The much awaited moments of the year, Sa Sa Colors & Fragrance Fair & Awards 2010 Presentation Ceremony was the biggest & the most talked-about event of the annual re-runs, participated by famous homegrown celebrities as well as well-known artistes. Held at Main Concourse, LG1, Sunway Pyramid Shopping Centre on 1 October 2010, the momentous event was attended by various media representatives, trade partners and over 30 famous bloggers in town with one universal objective. That is to celebrate the awards presentation to the winners of the 6 fragrance categories voted by the Malaysian consumers which emerged after 38 days weeks of pain-staking promotional campaign.

For third consecutive years, Sa Sa Colors & Fragrance Fair & Awards, has collaborated with well-known trade partners namely, DKNY, ITF, L’Oreal PCI, P&G Prestige and Marina De Bourbon, with each brandname strutting-out its hottest array of fragrances. To mark its improvement of awareness among Sa Sa's fragrance followers, a grand total of 38,436 votes were sucessfully casted this year, where votes were accumulated from all Sa Sa stores as well as from the dedicated event microsite @

Commencing its campaign on 27 August 2010, the Sa Sa Awards has kicked-off with 12 nominated fragrances during its run-ups for best-known industry titles, namely Best Women’s Fragrance, Best Men’s Fragrance, Best Couple Fragrance, and Fragrance of the Year 2010. As for the newly introduced Special Colorscentsations Award, best matched fragrance and “color look” from the three nominees; namely the sweetness and warmth of Happiness look, the coolness and funkiness of Free Spirit look and the combination of independence and modern in the Confidence look. These three different make-up looks are set to match with the three special fragrance nominees to bring out the best aspiration and feel for one another.


Judging the fragrances winner was determined by a panel of judges, consisted of local celebrities such as Amber Chia (Top Model), Sazzy Falak & Nazril Idrus (Celebrity Couple), Awal Ashaari (TV Host) and Owen Yap (Award Winning TV Host), where judges' decision made-up of 40% contributed points, another 40% was contributed by votes casted by general public while the balance 20% was obtained from the results of fragrance sales tabulated up until 30 September 2010.


The worthy winners of the Fragrance Awards 2010 for the six
award categories are:

· Best Women’s Fragrance – GUCCI Flora by Gucci from P&G PRESTIGE
· Best Men’s Fragrance – BOSS Bottled Night from P&G PRESTIGE
· Best Couple Fragrance – DSQUARED2 He Wood Ocean Wet Wood & She Wood Crystal Creek Wood from ITF
· Fragrance Of The Year 2010 – DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom from ADF
· Special Colorscentsations Award – Free Spirit : ANNA SUI Rock Me! Summer Love by P&G PRESTIGE
· Online People’s Choice Award – ANNA SUI Rock Me! Summer Love by P&G PRESTIGE

Meanwhile, Sa Sa also gave out Fragrance Fair dip prizes to its lucky shoppers who had purchased nominated fragrances during the campaign.

The prizes are:

· Grand Prize – A Designer Diamond Necklace worth over RM8,000 + RM2,000 Colors & Fragrance product hamper

· 1st Prize – 1 bottle of the winning fragrance from each category (5 bottles) + RM2,000 Sa Sa Gift Certificates

· 2nd Prize – 3 bottles of fragrances from the Sa Sa Fragrance Fair & Awards 2010 + RM1,000 Sa Sa Gift Certificates + RM1,000 AW Color Collection Hamper

· 3rd Prize – Best Couple Award Winners + RM500 Sa Sa Gift Certificates

· 4th Prize – 1 bottle of Fragrance of the Year + RM250 Sa Sa Gift Certificates


As part of its CSR efforts, Sa Sa has contributed RM1 for every bottle of fragrance sold during the campaign to the Breast Cancer Welfare Association (BCWA). Ms Corina Loi (pic above on the left), Senior Vice President and Country Head of Sa Sa Malaysia, presented the cheque amounting to RM13,389 to Dr. Zaharah Aiyub , Vice President of BCWA during the Fragrance Awards presentation.
